The Legend Of Luther Arkwright

Bryan Talbot

After a gap of 21 years, swashbuckling anti-hero Luther Arkwright makes a spectacular return for more warped adventures in the multiverse.

Luther Arkwright travels through parallel dimensions of earth that are both familiar and startlingly different, skipping between utopian and dystopian in the blink of an eye. When humanity is threatened with mass destruction from an evolved threat, it is up to him to use strength and guile to overcome staggering odds and save the day.

Superstar writer and illustrator Bryan Talbot has a formidable reputation and long legacy with award-winning projects such as The Tale Of One Bad Rat, Grandville and Dotter Of Her Father’s Eyes (which, co-written with his wife, won the 2012 Costa Biography Award). Widely considered his magnum opus, The Adventures Of Luther Arkwright and it’s sequel Heart Of Empire are remarkable adult works – not only visually stunning, but also with an intricate and sharply satirical story where nothing is quite what it seems. The Legend Of Luther Arkwright is a beautiful, intelligent and hugely satisfying third act for this much beloved character.

In a gorgeous oversized hardcover edition and with an introduction by sci-fi author Adrian Tchaikovsky, this landmark graphic novel deserves all the recognition and accolades that it will no doubt gather.
