Independent Bookshop Week 2023!

IBW 2023

This year’s Independent Bookshop Week runs from 17th – 24th June, and it’s an extra special time as we’re also celebrating The Bookery’s 10th Birthday!

We’ll be unveiling our great new extension and event space – so drop in any time, this happy event is as much about our loyal patrons and customers as it is about our brilliant, growing bookshop.

Our special day of celebrations starts on Saturday 17th June from 10am. It will be a fun-packed morning of author events in the bookshop with children’s art and poetry, including our patrons Sarah McIntyre and Philip Reeve, (superstar creators of Adventuremice) creating some live Bookery art, and Michael Morpurgo officially unveiling our new extension, a brand-new event space. Join us for the Big Moment – ribbon cutting, speeches and cake. Eagle-eyed visitors might also see The Gruffalo wandering round – do say hello but please don’t frighten him!

Join us for fantastic free & low-cost events & activities…
