Bookshop Day: Spiders, Stories & Surprises
To celebrate Bookshop Day, The Bookery is thrilled to welcome Alexandra Dawe, author of The Stitchwort Curse, for a spectacular Halloween-themed workshop and book signing on Saturday 11th October from 11am-12.30pm.
Alexandra will lead a free, family-friendly craft session in the Link Room, where children aged 5+ can get creative making pipe cleaner spiders, spooky bookmarks, and even their own pet spider in a jar using moss, charms, and jam jars. The Stitchwort Curse is filled with magical spiders, making this pet spider craft workshop the perfect way to step into its world of enchantment, mystery, and imagination. There will be activity sheets and a chance to meet Alexandra and have copies of her books dedicated and signed.
